The Adversary Within - P-Arthism
(Verse 1)
They painted a devil with pitchfork and flame,
A tale spun by Dante, not God’s holy name.
But dig through the dust of the ancient tongue—
Ha’satan’s no monster, just ego that’s hung
On the fruit of that tree, the illusion of "knowing,"
A snake whispering "separation" it’s sowing.
(Chorus)
Oh, the battle’s not out there in some fiery pit,
It’s the shadow that dances where Light won’t permit.
Stop pointing to demons, to horns in the dark—
The true adversary’s the voice in your heart.
(Verse 2)
The serpent’s not slithering, scales in the mud,
But 'ophis'—a mirage, dualistic blood.
We traded our Eden for "good versus bad,"
A mind split in two, so we stumble, so sad.
Blind to the Truth that we’re woven from Light,
We cower in chains of our own endless night.
(Chorus)
Oh, the battle’s not out there in some fiery pit,
It’s the shadow that dances where Light won’t permit.
Stop pointing to demons, to horns in the dark—
The true adversary’s the voice in your heart.
(Bridge)
Christ said no spirit can poison your soul,
It’s the words from your lips that corrupt and control.
So renew your mind, let the Living Waters rise—
Love, Faith, and Light are the keys to the skies.
(Verse 3)
No pitchforked tyrant to blame for your fall,
Just the echo of “me” building walls, locking all.
When you judge your brother, when you harbor disdain,
YOU wear the horns, YOU forge the chain.
(Outro)
So tear down the myth, let the old lies decay—
Hell’s not a place, just the price we pay
For clinging to shadows, refusing to see:
The devil’s a mirror… and the key’s YOU and ME.
(Final Chorus)
Oh, the battle’s not out there—it’s time to begin,
To drown out the darkness that hums through our skin.
No demons, no devils, no fictional crown—
The kingdom’s within… let the old lies drown.
